An Act to extend the Theatres Trust Act 1976 to Scotland.

1 Extension of Theatres Trust Act 1976 to Scotland. cross-notes

(1) M1The Theatres Trust Act 1976 shall be amended as follows, and as so amended shall extend to Scotland and come into force there on the passing of this Act.

(2) In section 2 (objects of Trust and powers of trustees), after subsection (2) there shall be added—

(3) Subsection (2) above shall have effect in relation to Scotland with the substitution for paragraph (d) of the following paragraph—

“(d) from time to time to sell, let, surrender or otherwise dispose of, or apply as security for borrowing, any heritable or moveable property vested in or acquired by the trustees;”. .

(3) In section 6(4) (extent), the words “Scotland or” are hereby repealed.

2 Short title and extent.

(1) This Act may be cited as the Theatres Trust (Scotland) Act 1978.

(2) This Act does not extend to Northern Ireland.
