The Swine Fever (Amendment) Order 1991

The Minister of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food, the Secretary ofState for Scotland and the Secretary of State for Wales, acting jointly,in exercise of the powers conferred on them by sections 1, 15(4) and83(2) of the Animal Health Act 1981(1) and of all other powers enabling them in that behalf,hereby make the following Order:

Title and commencementI1

1. This Order may be cited as the Swine Fever (Amendment) Order 1991and shall come into force on 12th May 1991.

AmendmentI2

2. In article 3 of the Swine Fever Order 1963(2) for paragraph (4) there shall be substituted thefollowing—

“(4) In this Article,“meat inspector” means any person who, as respects England and Wales, by virtue ofregulation 2(1) of the Meat Inspection Regulations 1987(3) is an inspector for the purposes of those Regulations,or as respects Scotland, by virtue of regulation 2(1) of the Food (MeatInspection) (Scotland) Regulations 1988(4) is an inspector or a meat inspector for the purposes ofthose Regulations.”
