In exercise of the powers conferred upon him by section 5(2) and (3) of the Crime and Disorder Act 1998(1), the Secretary of State hereby makes the following Order:

1. This Order may be cited as the Crime and Disorder Strategies (Prescribed Descriptions) (Amendment) Order 1998 and shall come into force on 1st November 1998.

2.—(1) The Crime and Disorder Strategies (Prescribed Descriptions) Order 1998(2) is amended as follows.

(2) Article 2(2)(g) shall be omitted.

(3) In article 3(2), at the end there shall be added:

(u)a governing body of an institution within the higher education sector, as defined in section 91 of the Further and Higher Education Act 1992(3), in that area..F1]
