Present,

The Queen’s Most Excellent Majesty in Council

Her Majesty, in exercise of the powers conferred upon Her by section 2 of the Carriage of Goods by Sea Act 1971( 1 ) is pleased, by and with the advice of Her Privy Council, to order, and it is hereby ordered, as follows:—

1. This Order may be cited as the Carriage of Goods by Sea (Parties to Convention) (Amendment) Order 2000 and shall come into force on 15th May 2000.

2. The Schedule to the Carriage of Goods by Sea (Parties to Convention) Order 1985( 2 ) shall be amended as follows:

(a) after the entry relating to the Kingdom of Belgium, there shall be inserted:

The Republic of Croatia Croatia 28th January 1999 ;

(b) after the entry relating to the French Republic, there shall be inserted:

Georgia Georgia 20th May 1996 ; and

(c) after the entry relating to the German Democratic Republic, there shall be inserted:

Italy Italy 22nd November 1985 .
