The Welfare Reform and Pensions Act 1999 (Commencement No. 5) Order 2000

The Lord Chancellor, in exercise of the power conferred upon him by section 89(2) of the Welfare Reform and Pensions Act 1999( 1 ), makes the following Order:

1. This Order may be cited as the Welfare Reform and Pensions Act 1999 (Commencement No. 5) Order 2000.

2. The following provisions of the Welfare Reform and Pensions Act 1999 shall come into force on 1st December 2000:—

(a) sections 19, 21 and 22;

(b) section 84(1) so far as relating to paragraphs 1 to 4 and 64 to 66 of Schedule 12;

(c) section 85(3) and (4);

(d) section 88 so far as relating to the entries in Part II of Schedule 13 in respect of the Matrimonial Causes Act 1973( 2 ), the Matrimonial and Family Proceedings Act 1984( 3 ) and sections 9(8) and 16 of the Family Law Act 1996( 4 );

(e) Schedules 3 and 4;

(f) paragraphs 1 to 4 and 64 to 66 of Schedule 12; and

(g) the entries in Part II of Schedule 13 in respect of the Matrimonial Causes Act 1973, the Matrimonial and Family Proceedings Act 1984 and sections 9(8) and 16 of the Family Law Act 1996.
