Whereas the Secretary of State for the Environment, Transport and the Regions considers it appropriate for certain roads in the London borough of Hammersmith and Fulham to be GLA side roads in the interests of the management of traffic and the control of the waiting and loading of vehicles on or in the immediate vicinity of GLA roads:

Now therefore the Secretary of State in exercise of the powers conferred by section 124A of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984( 1 ) hereby makes the following Order:β€”

Citation and commencement

1. This Order may be cited as the GLA Side Roads (London Borough of Hammersmith and Fulham) Designation Order 2000 and shall come into force on 19th June 2000.

Designation of GLA side roads

2. β€”(1) The roads in the London Borough of Hammersmith and Fulham specified in the Schedule to this Order are hereby designated as GLA side roads( 2 ).

(2) The description of a road includes the intersection of that road and any other road that crosses it at the same level.

(3) In the Schedule β€œm” means metres.

(4) In accordance with section 124A(2) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, 3rd July 2000 is hereby specified as the date on which the designated roads are to become GLA side roads.

THE SCHEDULE ROADS IN THE LONDON BOROUGH OF HAMMERSMITH AND FULHAM DESIGNATED AS GLA SIDE ROADS

Roads in the vicinity of A4

1. Black Lion Lane between its junction with the A4 and a point 19m south of the southern kerbline of the A4.

2. Bridge Viewβ€”

(a) (east side) between its junction with the A4 and a point 18m south of the southern kerbline of the A4;

(b) (west side) between its junction with the A4 and a point 10m south of the southern kerbline of the A4.

3. Church Lane between its junction with the A4 and a point 8m north of the northern kerbline of the A4.

4. Eyot Gardens between its junction with the A4 and a point 10m south of the southern kerbline of the A4.

5. Gliddon Roadβ€”

(a) between its junction with the A4 and a point 42m north of the northern kerbline of the A4;

(b) between its junction with the A4 and a point 50m south of the southern kerbline of the A4.

6. North End Roadβ€”

(a) (north arm) between its junction with the A4 and an imaginary straight line drawn between the common boundary between 153 and 155 North End Road on the east side and the end wall of 62 North End Road on the west side;

(b) (south arm) between its junction with the A4 and a point 80m south of the southern kerbline of the A4.

7. Oil Mill Lane between its junction with the A4 and a point 12m south of the southern kerbline of the A4.

8. Rivercourt Roadβ€”

(a) between its junction with the A4 and a point 15m north of the northern kerbline of the A4;

(b) between its junction with the A4 and a point 18m south of the southern kerbline of the A4.

9. Shortlands between its junction with the A4 and a point 20m north of the northern kerbline of the A4.

10. Verbena Gardens.

11. Weltje Roadβ€”

(a) between its junction with the A4 and a point 8m north of the northern kerbline to the southern boundary wall of 35 Weltje Road;

(b) between its junction with the A4 and a point 10m south of the southern kerbline of the A4.

Roads in the vicinity of A40

12. Bentworth Road between its junction with the A40 and a point 10m north of the northern kerbline of the A40.

13. Bloemfontein Road between its junction with the A40 and a point 20m south of the southern kerbline of the A40.

14. Heathstan Roadβ€”

(a) (west arm) between its junction with the A40 and a point 10m north of the northern kerbline of the A40;

(b) (east arm) between its junction with the A40 and a point 10m north of the northern kerbline of the A40.

15. Maurice Street between its junction with the A40 and a point 10m north of the northern kerbline of the A40.

16. Old Oak Common Lane between its junction with the A40 and a point opposite the northern flank wall of 86 Old Oak Common Lane.

17. Old Oak Road between its junction with the A40 and a point adjacent to the boundary of 189 and 201 Old Oak Road.

18. Primula Streetβ€”

(a) (west arm) between its junction with the A40 and a point 18m north of the northern kerbline of the A40;

(b) (east arm) between its junction with the A40 and a point 10m north of the northern kerbline of the A40.
