Whereas the Secretary of State for the Environment, Transport and the Regions considers it appropriate for certain roads in the London borough of Havering to be GLA side roads in the interests of the management of traffic and the control of the waiting and loading of vehicles on or in the immediate vicinity of GLA roads:

Now therefore the Secretary of State in exercise of the powers conferred by section 124A of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984( 1 ) hereby makes the following Order:—

Citation and commencement

1. This Order may be cited as the GLA Side Roads (London Borough of Havering) Designation Order 2000 and shall come into force on 19th June 2000.

Designation of GLA side roads

2. —(1) The roads in the London borough of Havering specified in the Schedule to this Order are hereby designated as GLA side roads( 2 ).

(2) The description of a road includes the intersection of that road and any other road that crosses it at the same level.

(3) In the Schedule “m” means metres.

(4) In accordance with section 124A(2) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, 3rd July 2000 is hereby specified as the date on which the designated roads are to become GLA side roads.

THE SCHEDULE ROADS IN THE LONDON BOROUGH OF HAVERING DESIGNATED AS GLA SIDE ROADS

Roads in the vicinity of A12

1. Avenue Road between its junction with Colchester Road (A12) and a point 20m south of the southern kerbline of Colchester Road.

2. Bampton Road between its junction with Colchester Road (A12) and a point 35m north west of the north western kerbline of Colchester Road.

3. Bryant Avenue between its junction with Colchester Road (A12) and a point 10m south east of the south eastern kerbline of Colchester Road.

4. Court Avenue between its junction with Colchester Road (A12) and a point 1m north west of the north western flank wall of 21 Hill Terrace, Colchester Road.

5. Gooshays Drive between its junction with Colchester Road (A12) and a point 62m north of the northern kerbline of Colchester Road.

6. Gubbins Lane between its junction with Colchester Road (A12) and a point 6m north west of the north western flank wall of 172 Gubbins Lane.

7. Hainault Road—

(a) (south arm) between its junction with Eastern Avenue West (A12) and a point 15m south east of the south eastern kerbline of Eastern Avenue West;

(b) (north arm) between its junction with Eastern Avenue West (A12) and a point 32m north west of the north western kerbline of Eastern Avenue West.

8. Havering Road (B175) between its junction with Eastern Avenue West (A12) and a point opposite the south eastern boundary of 2 Havering Road.

9. Heath Drive between its junction with Eastern Avenue East (A12) and a point 10m south of the southern kerbline of Eastern Avenue East.

10. King George Close between its junction with Eastern Avenue West (A12) and a point 25m north west of the north western kerbline of Eastern Avenue West.

11. Main Road (A118) between its junction with Gallows Corner Roundabout (A12) and a point 20m south west of the south western kerbline of Gallows Corner Roundabout.

12. Mawney Road—

(a) (south arm) between its junction with Eastern Avenue West (A12) and a point 12m north west of the north west boundary of 162 Mawney Road;

(b) (north arm) between its junction with Eastern Avenue West (A12) and a point 25m north west of the north western kerbline of Eastern Avenue West.

13. North Street (A125) between its junction with Eastern Avenue West (A12) and a point 6m north of the northern kerbline of Parkside Avenue.

14. Petersfield Avenue between its junction with Colchester Road (A12) and a point 12m north of the northern kerbline of Colchester Road.

15. Pettits Lane between its junction with Eastern Avenue East (A12) and a point 2m north of the party wall of 203 and 205 Pettits Lane.

16. Pettits Lane North between its junction with Eastern Avenue East (A12) and a point 25m north of the northern kerbline of Eastern Avenue East.

17. Southend Arterial Road (A127) between its junction with Gallows Corner Roundabout (A12) and a point 82m north west of the party wall of 1 and 2 Avenue Industrial Estate, Southend Arterial Road.

18. Straight Road between its junction with Gallows Corner Roundabout (A12) and a point 20m north of the northern kerbline of Gallows Corner Roundabout.

20. Whalebone Lane North (A1112)—

(a) (north arm) between its junction with Eastern Avenue West (A12) and the borough boundary between the London Boroughs of Barking and Dagenham and Havering;

(b) (south arm) between its junction with Eastern Avenue West (A12) and the borough boundary between the London Boroughs of Barking and Dagenham and Havering.

21. Whitelands Way between its junction with Colchester Road (A12) and a point 15m south east of the south eastern kerbline of Colchester Road.

22. Ardleigh Green Road between its junction with Southend Arterial Road (A127) and a point 4m north east of the party wall of 190 and 192 Ardleigh Green Road.

23. Belgrave Avenue between its junction with Southend Arterial Road (A127) and a point 7m south west of that junction.

24. Bird Lane between its junction with Southend Arterial Road (A127) and a point 10m south of that junction.

25. Bryant Avenue—

(a) (off slip) (i) (north west kerbline) between its junction with Southend Arterial Road (A127) and a point 10m north east of that junction; (ii) (south east kerbline) between its junction with Southend Arterial Road (A127) and a point 6m north east of that junction;

(b) (on slip) (i) (south west kerbline) between its junction with Southend Arterial Road (A127) and a point 10m north west of that junction; (ii) (north east kerbline) between its junction with Southend Arterial Road (A127) and a point 25m north west of that junction.
