The Local Government Act 1999 (Commencement No. 3) (England) Order 2000

The Secretary of State, in exercise of the powers conferred on him by section 27(2)(a) of the Local Government Act 1999( 1 ) and all other powers enabling him in that behalf, hereby makes the following Order:—

Citation

1. This Order may be cited as the Local Government Act 1999 (Commencement No. 3) (England) Order 2000.

Commencement

2. Sections 1(1)(f), (i), (j), 1(2)(d), 1(4)(c) and 2(4) of the Local Government Act 1999 shall come into force on 3rd July 2000.

For commencement of the provision of Part I of the Act in relation to England and Wales (in relation to Wales, the whole of sections 1(1)(d), (e), 4(a) and (b), 14, 17, 24(2) and (3) and all the other provisions in the Act but only insofar as those provisions relate to an authority falling within section 1(1)(d) or (e) of the Act), see the Local Government Act 1999 (Commencement No. 1) Order 1999, S.I. 1999/2169 .
