The Superannuation (Admission to Schedule 1 to the Superannuation Act 1972) (No. 2) Order 2000

The Minister for the Civil Service, in exercise of the powers conferred by section 1(5) and section 1(8)(b) of the Superannuation Act 1972( 1 ) and now vested in him( 2 ), hereby makes the following Order—

Citation, Commencement and Interpretation

1. —(1) This Order may be cited as the Superannuation (Admission to Schedule 1 to the Superannuation Act 1972) (No. 2) Order 2000 and shall come into force on 24th July 2000, but shall have effect, where appropriate, from the dates specified in this Order.

(2) In this Order “the Act” means the Superannuation Act 1972 .

Offices and Employments

2. —(1) Section 1 of the Act shall apply to the following offices and employment with effect from the dates specified below—

(a) with effect from 1st May 1999 the office of the Director of Passenger Rail Franchising

(b) the office of rent officer in respect of appointments taking effect on or after 1st October 1999

(c) with effect from 1st December 1999 employment as a member of the staff of Resource: The Council for Museums, Archives and Libraries.

(2) The above offices and employment are hereby added to those listed in Schedule 1 to the Act.
