In exercise of the powers conferred on the Secretary of State by paragraph 8 of Schedule 1 to the Housing Act 1988( 1 ) the Secretary of State for Education and Employment hereby makes the following Regulations:

1. These Regulations may be cited as the Assured and Protected Tenancies (Lettings to Students) (Amendment) (England) Regulations 2000 and shall come into force on 1st November 2000.

2. Schedule 2 to the Assured and Protected Tenancies (Lettings to Students) Regulations 1998( 2 ) shall be amended in relation to England by the insertion at the appropriate place of “SOAS Homes Limited”.
