The Adoption (Intercountry Aspects) Act 1999 (Commencement No. 3) Order 2000

The Secretary of State for Health, in exercise of the powers conferred on him by section 18(3) of the Adoption (Intercountry Aspects) Act 1999( 1 ), and of all other powers enabling him in that behalf, hereby makes the following Order:—

Citation, interpretation and extent

1. —(1) This Order may be cited as the Adoption (Intercountry Aspects) Act 1999 (Commencement No. 3) Order 2000.

(2) In this Order “the Act” means the Adoption (Intercountry Aspects) Act 1999 .

Appointed day

2. 16th of October is the day appointed for the coming into force of section 16(2) (devolution) of the Act.
