The Secretary of State, in exercise of the powers conferred on him by paragraphs 7(1) and (10) of Part III of Schedule 2 to the Broadcasting Act 1990( 1 ), hereby makes the following Order:

Citation and commencement

1. This Order may be cited as the Broadcasting (Limit in relation to Provision of Digital Programme Services) Order 2000 and shall come into force on 21st November 2000.

Appointed Day

2. The Secretary of State hereby appoints 21st November 2000 as the appointed day for the purposes of paragraph 7(1) of Part III of Schedule 2 to the Broadcasting Act 1990.

1990 c. 42 . Part III of Schedule 2 was substituted by paragraph 10 of Part III of Schedule 2 to the Broadcasting Act 1996 (c. 55) . Paragraph 7 was amended by the Television Broadcasting Regulations 1998 (S.I. 1998/3196 ) and the Limit in Relation to Provision of Digital Programme Services Order 1998 (S.I. 1998/2770 ).
