The Child Support, Pensions and Social Security Act 2000 (Commencement No. 3) Order 2000

The Secretary of State for Social Security, in exercise of the powers conferred upon him by section 86(2) of the Child Support, Pensions and Social Security Act 2000( 1 ) and of all other powers enabling him in that behalf, hereby makes the following Order:
Citation
1. β(1) This Order may be cited as the Child Support, Pensions and Social Security Act 2000 (Commencement No. 3) Order 2000.
(2) In this Order references to βthe Actβ are references to the Child Support, Pensions and Social Security Act 2000 and, except where otherwise stated, references to sections and Schedules are references to sections of, and Schedules to, the Act.
Appointed days
2. β(1) The day appointed for the coming into force of the provisions of the Act specified in Part I of the Schedule to this Order for the purpose of the exercise of powers to make regulations and Acts of Sederunt is 10th November 2000.
(2) The day appointed for the coming into force of the provisions of the Act specified in Part II of the Schedule to this Orderβ
(a) for the purpose of the exercise of the power to make regulations is 10th November 2000, and
(b) for all other purposes is 1st January 2001.
(3) The day appointed for the coming into force of paragraph 11(17) of Schedule 3 and section 26 so far as it relates to that paragraph is 1st January 2001.
(4) The day appointed for the coming into force of sections 57 and 58 of the Actβ
(a) for the purpose of the exercise of the power to make regulations is 15th November 2000, and
(b) for all other purposes is 9th April 2001.
(5) The day appointed for the coming into force of sections 59 and 61 of the Act is 1st January 2001.
(6) The day appointed for the coming into force of section 60 of the Act and Part IV of Schedule 9 to the Act is 9th April 2001.
