The Private Hire Vehicles (London) Act 1998 (Commencement No. 1) Order 2000

The Secretary of State for the Environment, Transport and the Regions, in exercise of the powers conferred by section 40(2) of the Private Hire Vehicles (London) Act 1998( 1 ) and of all other powers enabling him in that behalf, hereby makes the following Order:

1. —(1) This Order may be cited as the Private Hire Vehicles (London) Act 1998 (Commencement No. 1) Order 2000.

(2) In this Order “the Act” means the Private Hire Vehicles (London) Act 1998 .

2. The following provisions of the Act shall come into force on 22nd January 2001—
