The Millennium Commission (Substitution of a Later Date) Order 2000

Whereas a draft of this Order has been laid before, and approved by a resolution of each House of Parliament pursuant to section 60(2) of the National Lottery etc. Act 1993( 1 );

Now, therefore, the Secretary of State, in exercise of the powers conferred on him by section 30(3) of the National Lottery etc. Act 1993, hereby makes the following Order:

Citation and commencement

1. This Order may be cited as the Millennium Commission (Substitution of a Later Date) Order 2000 and shall come into force on the day after the day on which it is made.

Substitution of a later date in section 30(1) of the National Lottery etc. Act 1993

2. In section 30 of the National Lottery etc. Act 1993(winding up of fund allocated under section 22(3)(e) for expenditure on projects to mark the year 2000 and the beginning of the third millennium), in subsection (1), for the words “31st December 2000”, in both places where they occur, substitute the words “20th August 2001”( 2 ).
