The Secretary of State for the Environment, Transport and the Regions, in exercise of the powers conferred upon him by sections 149(3)(a) and 333(7) of the Town and Country Planning Act 1990( 1 ) and of all other powers enabling him in that behalf, hereby makes the following Order:–
Citation, commencement and extent
1. —(1) This Order may be cited as the Town and Country Planning (Blight Provisions) (England) Order 2000 and shall come into force on 1st April 2000.
(2) This Order extends to England only.
Limit of annual value
2. The amount prescribed for the purposes of section 149(3)(a) of the Town and Country Planning Act 1990 is £24,600.
Revocation
3.Article 4 of the Town and Country Planning (Blight Provisions) Order 1990( 2 ) is hereby revoked insofar as it extends to England.

1990 c. 8 , to which there are amendments not relevant to this Order. The Secretary of State can exercise the power under sections 149 and 333 only in relation to England: see article 2 of and Schedule 1 to S.I. 1999/672 as varied by article 4 of and Schedule 3, para (d) to S.I. 2000/253 (W.5) .
S.I. 1990 No. 465 . The Town and Country Planning Act 1971 ( 1971 c. 78) was repealed by the Planning (Consequential Provisions) Act 1990 ( 1990 c. 11) and section 192(4)(a) of the 1971 Act, the provision conferring the power under which article 4 was made, was re-enacted in section 149(3)(a) of the Town and Country Planning Act 1990.
