The Secretary of State for Health, in exercise of the powers conferred upon him by sections 11(4)(c) and 126(3) and (4) of the National Health Service Act 1977( 1 ) and of all other powers enabling him in that behalf, hereby makes the following Order:
Citation, commencement, interpretation and extent
1. —(1) This Order may be cited as the National Health Service Supplies Authority (Establishment and Constitution) Amendment Order 2000 and shall come into force on 1st April 2000.
(2) In this Order—
“the Authority” means the National Health Service Supplies Authority;
“the Order” means the National Health Service Supplies Authority (Establishment and Constitution) Order 1991( 2 ).
(3) This order extends to England and Wales.
Change of name of the Authority
2. The Authority shall be called the National Health Service Logistics Authority instead of the National Health Service Supplies Authority and, accordingly, in article 2 of the Order for the word “Supplies” there is substituted the word “Logistics”.
Transitional provisions
3. The change of name under this Order shall not—
(a) affect any right or obligation of any person; or
(b) be taken as invalidating any instrument (whether made before, on or after the day on which this Order comes into force) which refers to the Authority by its previous name; and all instruments and other documents which refer to the Authority under its previous name shall be construed as referring to it under its new name.

Functions exercisable in relation to a cross-border body which by their nature cannot specifically be exercised in relation t o Wales are exercisable concurrently with the Secretary of State— see article 2(c) of the National Assembly for Wales (Transfer of Functions) Order 1999, S.I. 1999/672 .
