The Treasury, in exercise of the powers conferred on them by section 4(4) of the Banking Act 1987( 1 ), hereby make the following Regulations:

Citation and commencement

1. These Regulations may be cited as the Banking Act 1987 (Exempt Transactions) (Amendment) Regulations 2000 and shall come into force on 1st April 2000.

Revocation

2.Regulation 7 of, and Schedule 1 to, the Banking Act 1987 (Exempt Transactions) Regulations 1997( 2 ) are hereby revoked.
