The Treasury, in exercise of the powers conferred on them by section 4(4) of the Banking Act 1987( 1 ), hereby make the following Regulations:

Citation and commencement

1. These Regulations may be cited as the Banking Act 1987 (Exempt Transactions) (Amendment) Regulations 2000 and shall come into force on 1st April 2000.

Revocation

2. Regulation 7 of, and Schedule 1 to, the Banking Act 1987 (Exempt Transactions) Regulations 1997( 2 ) are hereby revoked.
