ROAD TRAFFIC

The Road Traffic Reduction Act 1997 (Commencement) (England and Wales) Order 2000

The Secretary of State for the Environment, Transport and the Regions, in exercise of the powers conferred on him by section 4(3) of the Road Traffic Reduction Act 1997( 1 ), and of all other powers enabling him in that behalf, having consulted such associations of local authorities as appeared to him to be concerned, in accordance with section 4(4) of that Act, hereby makes the following Order:

Citation and Interpretation

1. This Order may be cited as the Road Traffic Reduction Act 1997 (Commencement) (England and Wales) Order 2000.

Commencement

2.The Road Traffic Reduction Act 1997 shall come into force, as regards to England and Wales, on 10th March 2000.
