FREEDOM OF INFORMATION

The Freedom of Information Act 2000 (Commencement No. 1) Order 2001

30th April 2001

In exercise of the powers conferred upon him by section 87(3) of the Freedom of Information Act 2000( 1 ), the Secretary of State hereby makes the following Order:

1. This Order may be cited as the Freedom of Information Act 2000 (Commencement No. 1) Order 2001.

2. The following provisions of the Freedom of Information Act 2000 shall come into force on 14th May 2001:

(a) section 18(2), (3), (5), (6) and (7);

(b) paragraphs 1(2), 3(2), 5, 8(1), 9(1), 11, 12, 13(3), 14(b), 15(3) and 16 of Schedule 2 (and section 18(4) so far as relating to those provisions);

(c) paragraphs 1 and 4 of Schedule 4 (and section 61 so far as relating to those provisions); and

(d) paragraphs 1, 6 and 7 of Schedule 6 (and section 73 so far as relating to those provisions)( 2 ).
