The Secretary of State for the Environment, Transport and the Regions, with the consent of the Treasury, in exercise of the powers conferred by section 56(1) and (2) of the Finance Act 1973( 1 ) and by virtue of the Department of Transport (Fees) Order 1988( 2 ), and of all other powers enabling him in that behalf, hereby makes the following Regulations:β€”

1. These Regulations may be cited as the Passenger and Goods Vehicles (Recording Equipment) (Approval of Fitters and Workshops) (Fees) (Amendment) Regulations 2001 and shall come into force on 1st June 2001.

2. In regulation 3 of the Passenger and Goods Vehicles (Recording Equipment) (Approval of Fitters and Workshops) (Fees) Regulations 1986( 3 ) for β€œΒ£244” there shall be substituted β€œΒ£251” and for β€œΒ£99” there shall be substituted β€œΒ£102”.
