ROAD TRAFFIC

The Road Traffic (Vehicle Testing) Act 1999 (Commencement No. 1) Order 2001

The Secretary of State for the Environment, Transport and the Regions, in exercise of the powers conferred by section 9 of the Road Traffic (Vehicle Testing) Act 1999( 1 ), hereby makes the following Order:—

Citation and interpretation

1. —(1) This Order may be cited as the Road Traffic (Vehicle Testing) Act 1999 (Commencement No. 1) Order 2001.

(2) In this Order “the 1999 Act” means the Road Traffic (Vehicle Testing) Act 1999 .

Provisions coming into force

2. —(1) Section 1(3) of the 1999 Act shall come into force on 1st June 2001 in so far as it relates to the insertion of subsection (6B) in section 45 of the Road Traffic Act 1988.

(2) Section 3 of the 1999 Act shall come into force on 1st June 2001.
