The Transport Act 2000 (Commencement No. 4)Order 2001

The Secretary of State for the Environment, Transport and the Regions, in exercise of the powers conferred upon him by section 275(1) and (2) of the Transport Act 2000( 1 ) hereby makes the following Order:—

Citation and interpretation

1. This Order may be cited as the Transport Act 2000 (Commencement No. 4) Order 2001.

Provisions coming into force in England

2. Section 161 of the Transport Act 2000 , in so far as it relates to the words “operated a local service in contravention of that section” in section 111(1)(b) of the Transport Act 1985 as substituted by paragraph 22(2) of Schedule 11, shall come into force on 20th February 2001 as respects England.
