The National Lottery (Licence Fees) Order 2001

The Secretary of State, in exercise of the powers conferred on her by sections 7(5) and 60(4) of the National Lottery etc. Act 1993( 1 ) and of all other powers enabling her in that behalf, hereby makes the following Order:

Citation and commencement

1. This Order may be cited as the National Lottery (Licence Fees) Order 2001 and shall come into force on the 9th August 2001.

Fees for licences under section 5

2. The fee to be paid by the licensee to the National Lottery Commission on the granting of a licence under section 5 of the National Lottery etc. Act 1993 (licensing of a body to run the National Lottery) shall be—

(a) in the case of a licence specified to have effect (subject to being revoked or suspended) for a period not exceeding 6 months, £11,000; and

(b) in any other case, £70,000.

Fees for licences under section 6

3. The fee to be paid by the licensee to the National Lottery Commission on the granting of a licence under section 6 of that Act (licensing of bodies to promote lotteries as part of the National Lottery) shall be—

(a) in the case of a licence that—

(i) takes effect on the expiry of a licence under section 6 that was held by the same licensee, and

(ii) is in substantially the same terms as the licence mentioned in paragraph (i),

£1,000; and

(b) in any other case, £20,000.

Revocation

4. The National Lottery (Licence Fees) Order 1994( 2 ) is hereby revoked.
