The Queen’s Most Excellent Majesty in Council

Her Majesty, in pursuance of sections 1(1) and 1(4) of the School Inspections Act 1996( 1 ), is pleased, by and with the advice of Her Privy Council, to order, and it is hereby ordered, as follows:

1. This Order may be cited as the Education (Chief Inspector of Schools in England) Order 2001 and shall come into force on 30th November 2001.

2. Michael John Tomlinson is hereby re-appointed Her Majesty’s Chief Inspector of Schools in England for the period from 1st December 2001 until 30th April 2002.
