The School Standards and Framework Act 1998 (Commencement No. 9 and Supplemental Provisions) Order 2001

In exercise of the powers conferred on the Secretary of State by sections 138(7) and (8) and 145(3) of the School Standards and Framework Act 1998( 1 ), the Secretary of State for Education and Skills hereby makes the following Order:

1. This Order may be cited as the School Standards and Framework Act 1998 (Commencement No. 9 and Supplemental Provisions) Order 2001.

2. Section 115(2) and (3) of the School Standards and Framework Act 1998 shall come into force on 20th July 2001 in relation to Wales.

3. Requests by or on behalf of any registered pupil at a school for school lunches to be provided on or after 20th July 2001 may be made to a local education authority at any time after the making of this Order.
