The Local Government Act 2000 (Commencement No. 7) Order 2001

23rd July 2001

The Secretary of State for Transport, Local Government and the Regions, in exercise of the powers conferred upon him by section 108(3) and (7) of the Local Government Act 2000( 1 ), hereby makes the following Order:

Citation and application

1. —(1) This Order may be cited as the Local Government Act 2000 (Commencement No. 7) Order 2001.

(2) This Order applies in relation to England only.

Provisions coming into force on 1st August 2001

2. Sections 94 and 95 of the Local Government Act 2000 shall come into force on 1st August 2001.
