The Health Act 1999 (Commencement No. 10) Order 2001

The Secretary of State for Health, in exercise of the powers conferred on him by section 67(1) and (2) of the Health Act 1999( 1 ), and of all other powers enabling him in that behalf, hereby makes the following Order:
Citation, interpretation and extent
1. โ(1) This Order may be cited as the Health Act 1999 (Commencement No. 10) Order 2001.
(2) In this Order, โthe Actโ means the Health Act 1999.
(3) This Order extends only to England and Wales.
Appointed day
2. 9th February 2001 is the day appointed for the coming into force ofโ
(a) section 39 of the Act, in so far as it is not already in force;
(b) section 65(2) of the Act, in so far as it relates to the provisions of Schedule 5 to the Act specified in paragraph (c) of this article; and
(c) in Schedule 5 to the Act (repeals), the repeals relating to the provisions specified in column (1) of the Schedule to this Order, to the extent specified in column (2) of that Schedule.
