The Lord Chancellor, in exercise of the power conferred upon him by section 4(1) of the Civil Procedure Act 1997( 1 ), makes the following Order:

1. This Order may be cited as the Civil Procedure (Modification of Enactments) Order 2001 and shall come into force on 15th October 2001.

2. The amendment set out in this Order shall have effect.

3. In section 25(1) of the Landlord and Tenant Act 1927( 2 ) for “prescribed by County Court Rules, except that in relation to proceedings before the High Court, it means prescribed by rules of the Supreme Court” substitute “prescribed by rules of court or by a practice direction”.
