The Electricity Council (Dissolution) Order 2001

The Secretary of State, in exercise of the powers conferred on her by section 84(4) of the Electricity Act 1989( 1 ), after consultation with the Electricity Council and its successor companies and being satisfied that nothing further remains to be done by the Electricity Council (whether under Schedule 17 to that Act or otherwise), hereby makes the following Order:

1. This Order may be cited as the Electricity Council (Dissolution) Order 2001 and shall come into force on 9th November 2001.

2. In this Order, “Electricity Council” means the Council established under section 3 of the Electricity Act 1957( 2 ).

3. The Electricity Council shall be dissolved on the day on which this Order comes into force.
