The Financial Services and Markets Act 2000 (Commencement No. 6) Order 2001

The Treasury, in exercise of the powers conferred on them by section 431(2) of the Financial Services and Markets Act 2000( 1 ) (“the Act”), hereby make the following Order:

1. This Order may be cited as the Financial Services and Markets Act 2000 (Commencement No. 6) Order 2001.

2. 19th October 2001 is the day appointed for the coming into force of section 402 of the Act (power of the Financial Services Authority to institute proceedings for certain offences), for the purposes of proceedings for offences under prescribed regulations relating to money laundering.
