The Secretary of State for Transport, Local Government and the Regions, in exercise of the power conferred upon him by section 1(11) of the Local Government (Overseas Assistance) Act 1993( 1 ) and of all other powers enabling him in that behalf, hereby makes the following Order:

Citation, commencement and application

1. β€”(1) This Order may be cited as the Local Government Overseas Assistance (London Pensions Fund Authority) Order 2001 and shall come into force on 5th December 2001.

(2) This Order does not extend to Scotland.

Amendment to the Local Government (Overseas Assistance) Act 1993

2. In section 1 of the Local Government (Overseas Assistance) Act 1993 (power to provide advice and assistance) in subsection (10) (bodies which are local authorities), after paragraph (f) (the Broads Authority) there shall be insertedβ€”

β€œ (ff) the London Pensions Fund Authority; ” ( 2 ).
