The Secretary of State for Education and Skills, in exercise of the powers conferred on her by section 482(2A)(d) of the Education Act 1996( 1 ), hereby makes the following Order—

Citation, commencement and application

1. —(1) This Order may be cited as the Education (City Academies) (Subject Areas) Order 2001 and shall come into force on 30th November 2001.

(2) This Order shall only apply to England.

Subject Areas

2. A city academy may have an emphasis on business, enterprise and information technology in its curriculum.
