The Queen’s Most Excellent Majesty in Council

Whereas a draft of this Order has been laid before Parliament and has been approved by each House of Parliament:

And whereas the substance added to Schedule 2 to the Criminal Justice (International Co-operation) Act 1990( 1 ) by this Order has been added to the Annex to the Vienna Convention( 2 ) under Article 12 of that Convention:

Now, therefore, Her Majesty, in pursuance of section 12(5) of the Criminal Justice (International Co-operation) Act 1990 is pleased, by and with the advice of Her Privy Council, to order, and it is hereby ordered, as follows:—

1. This Order may be cited as the Criminal Justice (International Co-operation) Act 1990 (Modification) Order 2001 and shall come into force on 12th December 2001.

2. Schedule 2 to the Criminal Justice (International Co-operation) Act 1990, which specifies scheduled substances for the purposes of Part II of that Act, shall be amended by the insertion in Table 1 of that Schedule before the words “1—PHENYL—2—PROPANONE” of the word “NOREPHEDRINE”.
