The Local Government Act 2000 (Commencement No. 6) Order 2001

15th February 2001

The Secretary of State for the Environment, Transport and the Regions, in exercise of the powers conferred upon him by section 108(5) and (7) of the Local Government Act 2000( 1 ), hereby makes the following Order:

Citation, interpretation and application

1. —(1) This Order may be cited as the Local Government Act 2000 (Commencement No. 6) Order 2001.

(2) In this Order references to sections are references to sections of the Local Government Act 2000.

(3) This Order applies in relation to England only.

Provisions coming into force on 19th February 2001

2. The following provisions shall come into force on 19th February 2001—

(a) section 45, in so far as not already in force; and

(b) sections 99 and 100, with the exception of subsection (4) of section 99 and so much of subsection (3) of section 99 as relates to subsection (4).
