PREVENTION AND SUPPRESSION OF TERRORISM

The Terrorism Act 2000 (Commencement No. 3) Order 2001

15th February 2001

In exercise of the powers conferred upon me by section 128 of, and paragraph 4 of Schedule 1 to, the Terrorism Act 2000( 1 ) I hereby make the following Order:

Citation and interpretation

1. β€”(1) This Order may be cited as the Terrorism Act 2000 (Commencement No. 3) Order 2001.

(2) In this Order β€œthe 2000 Act” means the Terrorism Act 2000.

Commencement

2. The 2000 Act shall,

(a) to the extent that it is not already in force; and

(b) with the exception of section 100,

come into force on 19th February 2001.

Cessation of transitional provisions

3. The provisions to which paragraph 1 of Schedule 1 to the 2000 Act applies shall, on that day,

(a) cease to have effect; and

(b) cease to be capable of being the subject of an order under section 62(3) of the Northern Ireland (Emergency Provisions) Act 1996( 2 ).
