PREVENTION AND SUPPRESSION OF TERRORISM

Whereas a draft of this Order has been laid before, and approved by a resolution of, each House of Parliament:

Now, therefore, in exercise of the power conferred upon him by paragraph 16(1) of Schedule 7 to the Terrorism Act 2000( 1 ), the Secretary of State hereby makes the following Order:

Citation and commencement

1. This Order may be cited as the Terrorism Act 2000 (Carding) Order 2001 and shall come into force on 19th February 2001.

Card and information

2. A person to whom paragraph 16 of Schedule 7 to the Terrorism Act 2000 applies shall, if required to do so by an examining officer, complete and produce to the officer a card containing such information in such form as is specified

(a) in the case of a person who disembarks from a ship or aircraft, in Part I of the Schedule to this Order or,

(b) in the case of a person who embarks on a ship or aircraft, in Part II of the Schedule.
