The Secretary of State for Health, in exercise of the powers conferred on him by section 68(5) of the Health Act 1999( 1 ) and of all other powers enabling him in that behalf, hereby makes the following Order:

Citation and commencement

1. This Order may be cited as the Isles of Scilly (Health) Order 2001 and shall come into force on 14th March 2001.

Application of the Health Act 1999 to the Isles of Scilly

2.Part I and Part III of the Health Act 1999 shall apply to the Isles of Scilly with the modification that, in the application of those provisions to those Isles, any reference to a local authority is to be construed as a reference to the Council of the Isles of Scilly( 2 ).
