REGISTRATION OF POLITICAL PARTIES

The Secretary of State, in exercise of the powers conferred on him by sections 32(5) and 34(6) of, paragraphs 1(2) and 8(2) of Schedule 4 to, and paragraph 11(2)(b) of Schedule 23 to, the Political Parties, Elections and Referendums Act 2000( 1 ), hereby makes the following Order:

1. —(1) This Order may be cited as the Registration of Political Parties (Fees) Order 2001.

(2) This Order shall come into force on 16th February 2001.

(3) In this Order “the Act” means the Political Parties, Elections and Referendums Act 2000.

(4)The Registration of Political Parties (Fees) Order 1998( 2 ) is hereby revoked.

2. The fee for an application by a party under section 28 of, and Part I of Schedule 4 to, the Act for registration under Part II of the Act is £150.

3. The fee for an application under section 30 of, and Part II of Schedule 4 to, the Act by a party to have its entry in the register altered is £25.

4. The fee for a notification under section 32 or 34(3) of, or paragraph 11(2) of Schedule 23 to, the Act is £25.
