In exercise of the powers conferred on the Secretary of State by sections 47 and 138(7) of the School Standards and Framework Act 1998( 1 ) the Secretary of State for Education and Employment hereby makes the following Regulations:
1. These Regulations may be cited as the Financing of Maintained Schools (England) (Amendment) Regulations 2001 and shall come into force on 14th March 2001.
2. Regulation 28 of the Financing of Maintained Schools (England) Regulations 2001( 2 ) shall be amended by the substitution of the table set out below for the table set out in paragraph (1) of that regulation.

Secondary school with 600.5 pupils or more but with fewer than 1,200.5 pupils | £70,000 |
Secondary school with 1,200.5 pupils or more | £82,000 |
Special school with fewer than 100.5 pupils | £20,000 |
Special school with 100.5 pupils or more | £28,000 |

1998 c. 31 . By virtue of the National Assembly for Wales (Transfer of Functions) Order 1999 (S.I. 1999/672 ) the powers conferred by these provisions are exercisable by the Secretary of State only in relation to England. For the meaning of “regulations” see section 142(1).
