F1,M1,M2 The Secretary of State, being a Minister designated for the purposes of section 2(2) of the European Communities Act 1972 in relation to matters relating to consumer protection, in exercise of the powers conferred on her by section 2(2) of that Act, hereby makes the following Regulations:—

Title and commencement

1. —(1) These Regulations may be cited as the Dangerous Substances and Preparations (Safety) (Consolidation) (Amendment) Regulations 2002 and shall come into force on 1st August 2002.

M3 (2) Regulation 2 below shall have effect notwithstanding the provisions of section 11(5) of the Consumer Protection Act 1987 .

Amendments to the Dangerous Substances and Preparations (Safety) (Consolidation) Regulations 1994

M4 2. The Dangerous Substances and Preparations (Safety) (Consolidation) Regulations 1994 are amended by omitting paragraphs (5) and (6) from regulation 3A.
