The Cinematograph (Safety) (Amendment) Regulations 2002

The Secretary of State, in exercise of the powers conferred on her by section 4(1) and 4(2)(a) of the Cinemas Act 1985( 1 ), hereby makes the following Regulations:

1. —(1) These Regulations may be cited as the Cinematograph (Safety) (Amendment) Regulations 2002.

(2) These Regulations shall come into force on 12th August 2002.

(3) These Regulations shall not extend to Scotland.

2. —(1)The Cinematograph (Safety) Regulations 1955( 2 ) are amended as follows.

(2) In—

(a) regulation 4(1), for the word “twenty-one” substitute “eighteen”;

(b) regulation 4(2), for the word “twenty-one” substitute “eighteen”;

(c) regulation 26, for the word “twenty-one” substitute “eighteen”;

(d) regulation 31(7)(a), for the word “twenty-one” substitute “eighteen”;

(e) regulation 38(1), for the word “twenty-one” substitute “eighteen”.
