The Education Act 2002 (Commencement No. 1) (Amendment) Order 2002

In exercise of the powers conferred by section 216(4) of the Education Act 2002( 1 ) the Secretary of State for Education and Skills hereby makes the following Order:

Citation and Interpretation

1. β€”(1) This Order may be cited as the Education Act 2002 (Commencement No. 1) (Amendment) Order 2002.

(2) In this Orderβ€”

β€œthe 2002 Act” means the Education Act 2002;

β€œthe Commencement No. 1 Order” means the Education Act 2002 (Commencement No. 1) Order 2002( 2 ).

Amendment of Commencement No. 1 Order

2. The commencement of section 29 of the 2002 Act effected by article 4 of the Commencement No. 1 Order is hereby revoked.

3. Section 27 of the 2002 Act shall come into force except in relation to Wales on 2nd September 2002.

4. Accordingly article 4 of the Commencement No. 1 Order shall be amended by substituting β€œ27 and 28” for β€œ28 and 29”.
