The Criminal Justice and Police Act 2001 (Commencement No. 7) Order 2002

In exercise of the powers conferred upon him by section 138(2) of the Criminal Justice and Police Act 2001( 1 ), the Secretary of State hereby makes the following Order:

1. —(1) This Order may be cited as the Criminal Justice and Police Act 2001 (Commencement No. 7) Order 2002.

(2) In this Order “the 2001 Act” means the Criminal Justice and Police Act 2001.

2. The following provisions of the 2001 Act shall come into force on 12th August 2002—

(a) section 1 (offences leading to penalties on the spot), in so far as not already in force; and

(b) section 2 and sections 4 to 11 (penalty notices and penalties, procedure and interpretation).

3. Section 127 (Pensions for ACPO staff) of the 2001 Act shall come into force on 1st September 2002.
