FREEDOM OF INFORMATION
The Freedom of Information (Additional Public Authorities) Order 2002

The Lord Chancellor, in exercise of the powers conferred upon him by sections 4(1) and (6) and 7(2) of the Freedom of Information Act 2000( 1 ), and after consultation with the National Assembly for Wales and the First Minister and deputy First Minister in Northern Ireland in accordance with section 4(7) of that Act, makes the following Order:
1. —(1) This Order may be cited as the Freedom of Information (Additional Public Authorities) Order 2002 and shall come into force on 11th November 2002.
(2) In this Order, “the Act” means the Freedom of Information Act 2000.
2. The bodies and offices listed in Schedule 1 to this Order shall be added to Part VI of Schedule 1 to the Act, at the appropriate place in each case.
3. The bodies and offices listed in Schedule 2 to this Order shall be added to Part VII of Schedule 1 to the Act, at the appropriate place in each case.

The Adjudication Panel for Wales.
The All-Wales Medicines Strategy Group.
The Care Council for Wales.
The Certification Officer.
The Children’s Commissioner for Wales.
The Commissioners of Northern Lighthouses.
The Consumer Council for Postal Services.
The Criminal Injuries Compensation Authority.
The Criminal Injuries Compensation Appeals Panel, in relation to information held by it otherwise than as a tribunal.

2000 c. 36 . The functions of the Secretary of State under sections 4 and 7 were transferred to the Lord Chancellor by the Transfer of Functions (Miscellaneous) Order 2001 (S.I. 2001/3500 ), which Order amended those sections accordingly.
1993 c. 43 . These bodies were formerly known as Rail Users' Consultative Committees, but were renamed by section 227(1) of the Transport Act 2000 (c. 38) , and section 2(2) of the Railways Act 1993 was amended accordingly.
