The Welfare Reform and Pensions Act 1999 (Commencement No. 14) Order 2002

The Secretary of State for Work and Pensions, in exercise of powers conferred by section 89(1) of the Welfare Reform and Pensions Act 1999( 1 ), and of all other powers enabling him in that behalf, hereby makes the following Order:
Citation and interpretation
1. โ(1) This Order may be cited as the Welfare Reform and Pensions Act 1999 (Commencement No. 14) Order 2002.
(2) In this Order, references to sections and Schedules are references to sections of, and Schedules to, the Welfare Reform and Pensions Act 1999.
Appointed day
2. 19th March 2002 is the day appointed for the coming into force ofโ
(a) paragraph 14 of Schedule 2 (occupational pension schemes: certificates etc. relating to minimum funding requirement), and section 18 so far as relating to it;
(b) Part I of Schedule 13 in respect of the repeal in section 58(6)(a) of the Pensions Act 1995( 2 ) (schedules of contributions), and section 88 so far as relating to it.
