The Social Security Fraud Act 2001 (Commencement No. 4) Order 2002

The Secretary of State for Work and Pensions, in exercise of the powers conferred on him by section 20(1) of the Social Security Fraud Act 2001( 1 ) and of all other powers enabling him in that behalf, hereby makes the following Order:

Citation and interpretation

1. —(1) This Order may be cited as the Social Security Fraud Act 2001 (Commencement No. 4) Order 2002.

(2) In this Order references to “the Act” are to the Social Security Fraud Act 2001 .

Appointed day

2. The day appointed for the coming into force of—

(a) section 1(4) of the Act (order-making power to amend list of persons who may be required to provide information); and

(b) section 1(9) of the Act (order adding any person to that list to be subject to affirmative Parliamentary procedure),

is 26th February 2002.
