The Animals (Scientific Procedures) Act 1986 (Fees) (Amendment) Order 2002

The Secretary of State, in exercise of the powers conferred upon him by section 8 of the Animals (Scientific Procedures) Act 1986( 1 ) hereby makes the following Order:

Citation, commencement and extent

1. —(1) This Order may be cited as the Animals (Scientific Procedures) Act 1986 (Fees) (Amendment) Order 2002 and shall come into force on 1st April 2002.

(2) This Order does not extend to Northern Ireland.

Increase in fees

2. The Animals (Scientific Procedures) Act 1986 (Fees) Order 2000( 2 ) is amended as follows:

(a) in article 2(3) for the sum “£170” there is substituted “£252”;

(b) in article 2(4) for the sum “£153” there is substituted “£226”; and

(c) in article 3 for the sum “£763” there is substituted “£1,130”.
