The Criminal Justice and Police Act 2001 (Commencement No. 5) Order 2002

In exercise of the powers conferred upon him by section 138(2) of the Criminal Justice and Police Act 2001( 1 ), the Secretary of State hereby makes the following Order:

Citation and interpretation

1. —(1) This Order may be cited as the Criminal Justice and Police Act 2001 (Commencement No. 5) Order 2002.

(2) In this Order, “the 2001 Act” means the Criminal Justice and Police Act 2001.

Commencement on 1st April 2002

2. The following provisions of the 2001 Act shall come into force on 1st April 2002—

(a) Part 4 (Police Training) in so far as not already in force;

(b) section 137 (repeals) in so far as it relates to Schedule 7, Part 3;

(c) Schedule 3 (the Central Police Training and Development Authority);

(d) Schedule 4 (Consequential amendments relating to police training); and

(e) Schedule 7, Part 3 (Police training).

Commencement on 2nd April 2002

3. Section 45 of the 2001 Act (addresses of directors and secretaries of companies) in so far as not already in force shall come into force on 2nd April 2002.
