The Travel Concessions (Eligibility) Act 2002 (Commencement) (England) Order 2002

The Secretary of State for Transport, Local Government and the Regions, in exercise of the powers conferred upon him by section 2(1)( 1 ) of the Travel Concessions (Eligibility) Act 2002( 2 ), hereby makes the following Order:—

Citation and interpretation

1. This Order may be cited as the Travel Concessions (Eligibility) Act 2002 (Commencement) (England) Order 2002.

Provisions coming into force in England

2. Section 1 of the Travel Concessions (Eligibility) Act 2002 shall come into force on 1st April 2003 as respects England.

Section 2(2) provides that an order providng for the commencement of section 1(2) must provide for it to come into force on 1st April in any year; see section 3(2) for the meaning of “appropriate Minister”.
